Artists Statement

"Using the plasticity of metal in the forging process I am able to shape the material through addition, reduction and manipulation. Surface and structure then become as important as form. They are a testament to the brutal sensitivity between metalsmith and material. By exploring this direct metal process I have become disinterested in ornament and only look to convey a sense of silence and calm in my work."
