River Gallery - a fine art gallery located in historic downtown Chelsea, has recently completed a 3200 square foot renovation of a two story 1898 Main Street building. Since the inaugural show in the new site in June of 2004 the gallery has hosted a memorial exhibition for the painter Gerome Kamrowski and exhibitions of new work by established Michigan artists, including Tom Nuzum, Richard Fairfield and Robert Throne. In the summer of 2005 the gallery hosted its first regional competition, juried by Sean Ulmer, curator of collections and exhibitions of the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art.

The gallery is committed to showcasing regional and national talent with 6 major exhibitions yearly on the first level and featured artist shows on the second level. Come visit River Gallery soon and enjoy exciting, contemporary works of fine art. Paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, textiles and prints are on display in an environment that honors, enjoys and celebrates the arts.
